Web-Wright Acceptable Use Policy
1. The Client and any user agree to use the services provided only for lawful services. They will not be used in any manner that infringes the rights of any third party or is in contravention of any applicable law or regulation (e.g. the Data Protection Act). In particular, the Client agrees not to use the service or allow it to be used for the storage, transmission or otherwise passing the following:
- material which is unlawful threatening, abusive or defamatory
- material which encourages or gives information on how to partake in any criminal or unlawful activity including (but not restricted to) acts of terrorism, insurgence, anarchy, rioting or antisocial behaviour.
- Pornographic, profane, obscene, blasphemous or otherwise objectionable material
- Viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other malicious computer code
- Unsolicited commercial email (spam)
- Any material which breaches any intellectual property rights such as copyright, trade marks, patents etc.
The Client will immediately notify Web-Wright of any complaints regarding the above and will indemnify Web-Wright against any action taken in respect of the Client's use of the server and/or services provided. Web-Wright reserves the right to suspend the Client's use of the server immediately without refund in the event of a breach of the terms of this provision.
2. The Client is responsible for the safe custody of any user names, passwords, logons or other identification. If such becomes lost or stolen or the Client suspects there has been unauthorised access to the server, the Client should notify Web-Wright immediately. Failure to do so may result in the service being terminated without refund.
3. Web-Wright agrees to make reasonable endeavours to make available the server and services offered, and to restore service as soon as possible in the event of an interruption. However it is impossible to guarantee totally continuous service and Web-Wright can accept no liability for interruptions to service that are outside of its control.
4. Web-Wright will take all reasonable care of customer data but accepts no responsibility for loss or damage thereto. The Client is therefore advised to maintain current backups of data, especially where third parties contribute to content (e.g. guestbook entries), or the Client has self editing facilities.
5. There is no bandwidth limit for your use of the server but this should be used in a responsible manner. We reserve the right to make a charge or impose a limit at any time if the bandwidth becomes excessive so as to be to detrimental to the use and enjoyment of other users on the server. If a Client has an exceptional requirement for bandwidth, it should be discussed with Web-Wright beforehand.
